- Front Zip Access. Smooth front zipper allows for effortless entry making changing simple after swimming.
- Modest Boyleg Cut. Covers the upper thigh to help reduce friction and keep you comfortable in the water.
- High Neck Coverage. High front and back neckline delivers modest protection and total confidence in the water.
- Chlorine Resistant Fabric. Special fabric treatment helps your swimwear last longer in chlorinated pool water.
- Elasticated Underbust Support. Features a firm underbust band with soft removable cups for gentle lift.
- Fully Lined Interior. Complete lining offers gentle smoothing and total opacity for complete peace of mind.
Finding plus size bathing suits for women that offer both easy dressing and reliable leg coverage makes going to the pool a pleasure. The Gemma is engineered specifically for curves, featuring a sturdy zip front that eliminates struggling with wet bathers. The high back profile holds shoulder straps securely in place during lap swimming and hydrotherapy.
Prefer a longer leg cut for extended thigh coverage? Explore our knee length swimsuit.
Durable pool protection
Chlorine resistant fabric made for frequent swimming.
Regular pool water can weaken standard elastic over time. The Gemma is made from specially treated chlorine resistant fabric that helps your swimwear last up to ten times longer. The material maintains its flexible fit through frequent exercise routines. Because the front zipper panel slightly reduces horizontal stretch across the body, we recommend choosing one size larger if you have a longer upper body, fuller bust, or rounder tummy area.

Full lining and inner bust support structure
Thoughtful Internal Construction
Thoughtful internal construction for complete comfort.
- Internal Bust Support. Sturdy underbust band and removable soft cups accommodate various bust shapes comfortably.
- Full Body Lining. Soft internal layer ensures non see through coverage both in and out of the pool.
- Comfortable Bust Security. Features a flexible inner elastic band paired with removable soft inserts for custom lift.
- Sun Safe Protection. Broad coverage across the chest and back guards delicate skin during outdoor swims.
The combination of a modest boyleg cut and practical front zip gives you total confidence in every aquatic setting. Whether you teach swimming, do lap workouts, or enjoy hydrotherapy, the Gemma provides comfortable support that stays in place all day.
What customers say
★★★★★
“I have now worn my new swimwear and am in all kinds of love with them. I had a couple of hours between classes as a swim teacher and felt comfortable for the whole time. They didn’t ride up or anything. So in love with them and will be buying more for sure. Thank you so much.”

Q&A
Frequently asked questions
How does the zip front feature help when getting changed?
The zip front unzips smoothly down the front panel, allowing you to step into and out of the suit easily without straining your shoulders when wet.
Why is it recommended to go up a size in this style?
Because the front zipper panel limits horizontal stretch across the torso slightly, selecting one size larger ensures comfortable body length and easy entry.
Is this swimsuit suitable for swim teachers and hydrotherapy?
Yes, the chlorine resistant fabric treatment handles long hours in chlorinated water while keeping its shape, making it an ideal choice for active pool use.

I’m a short (157cm), fat (105kg), older (78) woman, with a big belly and dangly breasts, and zilch interest in glamour. I thought this swimsuit might be THE ONE I’ve been looking for for years. I like the one-piece (no flapping skirt to ride up, or shorts to ride down); the fabric; the restrained colour; the modest boy legs; and the front zipper, which makes the suit easy to get into.
However:
1/ I was startled by the sizing. I usually buy size 24 tops and size 22 bottoms, which usually translates to 2XL (or maybe 3XL for skimpy brands). Since when does size 24 equal 5XL????? Anyway, I bought a 5XL and it does fit.
2/ The breast cups made silly bumps much higher than my hanging breasts. The fabric is double-layered across the chest, which is enough for nipple coverage, so I pulled the cups out.
3/ The top of the zipper came annoyingly high under my chin. So I did a sewing job and turned the front into a shallow V-neck.
4/ Worst, I found the suit almost impossible to get out of! Because the back was cut so high, it created conflicting tensions when trying to, say, push the left shoulder off with the right hand. I couldn’t get the thing off. Frustrated wrestling. Embarrassed requests to strangers to help. So I did another sewing job: opened the shoulder seams and spliced in velcro fastening. (Making the top back into a V or U shape would have worked also.)
Please design a swimsuit that is FUNCTIONAL as well as modest and fitting, and TEST it on a variety of shapes before marketing.

As a nonbinary/transmasculine person I am probably not the target audience, but I have really struggled to find more “neutral” shaped swimwear for a body like mine. I have had top surgery (double mastectomy) so I have a flat chest, but big hips, big butt, big thighs, big tummy.
There are some great unisex swimwear lines out there, but I find they are often designed to fit a more “straight-sized” person – narrow hips, flat butt, long torso. I want a more shapeless/neutral silhouette while still being big myself, without the fabric accentuating my shape.
Purchasing this was taking a bit of a chance – I really love the shape and ease of one-piece suits, but find they are just a bit too feminine for my liking. I hate how much butt/thigh/crotch is exposed, and how tight-fitting they are (what a pain to get off, skinny straps snapping and digging into my armpits…). Plus, now that I have a flat chest, they look a bit weird on me. I’m just not comfortable in them anymore!
I think the shape of this suit is absolutely adorable, but I wasn’t sure how it would look on me. I’m so glad I gave this a chance because it is probably my new favourite. SO comfortable, easy, and affirming. I find it very neutral, almost like a triathlon suit, but fits way nicer for someone like me with big hips, butt, and tummy.
I also purchased the plus size baggy rashie, but I wanted another option for indoor swimming (since I prefer one-pieces for indoor). I removed the chest padding (since I’m flat-chested), and I was worried the shape would look strange but it’s absolutely perfect. I sized up a little because I dislike a figure-hugging silhouette, and I find it fantastic, really modest and neutral.
It is SO comfortable – no squeezing under my armpits – and the zip is life-changingly amazing! So incredibly easy to get on and off.
My measurements: height 174cm, bust 110cm, waist 105cm, hips 118cm. I purchased the 4XL – I sized up a little and it looks great, it’s a little roomy which is what I prefer. Such a cute style, I really think this would look great on all bodies and expressions.

my favourite one piece ever!! i had been looking for this more vintage-style shape in a larger size for years and this didn’t disappoint. i bought a size 3xl based on just my clothing size and it fits perfectly, even with a longer torso it doesn’t ride up!
i find it really suits my gender expression and will be recommending it to my friends
