Swimwear Fabric Care: Do’s and Don’ts
Do’s
- Wash Gently: Cold gentle machine wash or hand wash with cold or lukewarm water.
- Use Mild Soap: No soap or a mild hand soap is best.
- Rinse Immediately: Rinse your swimwear immediately after use.
- Dry Properly: Drip dry in the shade
Don’ts
- No Wringing or Bleaching: Do not wring, soak or bleach your swimwear.
- Avoid Tumble Drying: Do not tumble dry.
- Don’t Leave Wet: Avoid leaving swimwear rolled up when wet.
- No Ironing or Dry Cleaning: Do not iron or dry clean
Additional Tips
- Minimise Exposure: Pools, spa baths, salt water (ocean) and sun exposure can damage your swimsuit
- Be Cautious with Lotions: Sunscreen, tanning oils and fake tanning lotions may stain or damage swimwear. Ensure these are completely dry before contact.
- Avoid Rough Surfaces: Rough surfaces can cause pulls or snags.
